Between 5-6 Weeks!

Woke up Thursday morning feeling pretty nauseous, managed to get out of bed and get to the doctor's office for my sono. This time we saw a sac and a little fluttering, the tech said she could not tell if the fluttering was the baby's heart beating or my blood flow... But she did say that since she can see the sac now, it is safe to say I am between 5 and 6 weeks along. The doctor scheduled another sono for me in two weeks (which will put me at about 7 weeks) and said we should be able to see the baby and the heartbeat at that ultrasound! Very exciting news! She also said my Hcg levels went from 999 to over 5000 in 4 days which is good, and the pregnancy is progressing just like its supposed to!

You know, I was starting to think that I was just very lucky with this pregnancy and I was not going to get any morning sickness or nausea this time around... Guess I thought too soon. Every day since Thursday I have been feeling nauseous on and off throughout the day. I haven't thrown up at all, but I'm starting to wish I would so the nausea would go away and I would feel better, and be able to get out of bed!!! I just keep telling myself... it will all be worth it when the baby gets here!

Gav is still not completely understanding the whole "brother/sister boy/girl" thing yet. He does comprehend "baby" and when we ask him what is in Mommy's belly he points to my stomach and says "baby!" It is very adorable. He even kisses my belly sometimes. I cant wait to give him a little sibling and make him a big brother!!!

Doctor, Doctor & More Doctor

I had my first doctors visit last week, just went in, answered some questions, did some routine blood work, gave me some prenatals and sent me home. Then I had an ultrasound a few days later but we did not see anything. The ultrasound tech said it was probably just too early. Anything less than 5 weeks will not show up on an ultrasound. So they took some more blood that day and tested for my Hcg levels, which I'm happy to say came back normal at 999. I just went back in yesterday to get more blood taken to check my Hcg levels and make sure they are doubling like they're supposed to. I have my second ultrasound this Thursday (I should be at least 5 weeks along by then) so hopefully we will see the beginnings of a little baby!
