Drained
I am 35 weeks, 3 days today and I feel like this pregnancy is never going to end! I know I only have 5 more weeks but it feels like time is just crawling by now. I am constantly tired and exhausted and just feel completley drained. I'm still having contractions every once in a while, but I cant tell if they are just braxton hicks or if they're real. My next dr appointment is Thursday morning and I dont think dr is planning on checking me but I might ask her to so I can find out if these contractions are making me dialate at all. Kenna's activity has slowed down a lot lately... She's not moving as much as she used to. Maybe she's feeling drained like I am. Well I will be updating more after I visit the dr this week :) Lets hope for good news!

Kenna's doing good =)
Kenna is growing good. Her growth hasnt slowed down and she hasnt dropped below the 10th percentile so the peri sees no reason to deliver her early. He checked the placenta and says theres no abnormalities that he can see. So we're going to hold off on the early delivery. I'm going back in two weeks for more measurments. Kenna weighs 4 pounds, 10 ounces now! Cant belive she gained more than a pound in just 2 weeks!! But I'm glad she is healthy!

Gavster is so silly!
Gav had his 6 week post op appointment today. Dr says Gav looks great and he doesnt have to come back till his 4 and a half!! Such good news! I'm hoping all the surgeries are behind us now. Gav can finally have chocolate again... Thats all his been talking about for the last 6 weeks so he's pretty excited about it!
Kris and Gavin and I were all sitting on the couch watching tv last night and I said something to the affect of "Gosh, I wish Kenna would hurry up and come out already." And Gavin goes "I know, whats taking Kenna so long? She's driving far?" Haha it was adorable. It's like he's waiting for her to just come walking through the door one day. Even though he knows shes a baby, I dont think he understands that he's going to see her in the hospital and then she'll come home with us. Its funny what kids come up with.
So I am totally anxious to hear what the peri has to say tomorrow. Probably wont be able to sleep tonight because I'll be thinking about all the things he could tell me tomorrow. I just hope shes healthy and growing and gaining weight. Her kicks are definatley getting stronger and more painful so maybe shes getting bigger and stronger. She was 3 pounds, 7 ounces two weeks ago so tomorrow I'm hoping to hear that shes atleast 4 pounds now.
She had the hiccups last night. I dont think shes had them before but I remember Gav having them in my belly. Kenna had them for like 10 mins straight last night. It was pretty cool to feel them. She's been practicing breathing.... At my last sono we could see her little belly moving like she was taking breaths... so cute. And she kept sticking her tongue out at us. It was so funny to watch. Maybe she'll put on a show for us again at tomorrows sono.

Baby might be here next week!
Went to my regular OBGYN this morning for the weekly measurements, NST and sono. I gained 3 pounds since my last visit (2 weeks ago) so hopefully babygirl has gained some more weight too. I go to the peri on Tuesday for measurements again and if Kenna is still on the same path and not growing like she should be they might induce me then. Dr says they just wait til im past 34 weeks to make sure her lungs are fully developed. I will be 34 weeks on Saturday so if shes not growing, we might have her next week! Pretty exciting and scary! I was shocked when she told me that! Kenna would still have to stay in the NICU for a while to gain some weight and make sure shes breathing and eating well. Dr says though that if they can hold out until im 36 weeks, they would rather do that! So I guess we'll find out Tuesday whats going to happen. Cant wait for her to be here though!!!

My Boy Turned 3!!!
Gav's bday was a blast. He enjoyed his spongebob themed party and had fun with the other kids! Took him for his 3 year check up yesterday... he's weighing in at 37 pounds now!! And he's 38 inches tall.... My boy's getting big! No wonder I cant carry him around anymore! Poor thing had to get one vaccination at this visit but he did good and didnt shed a single tear! It's amazing how quickly they grow up!! Enjoy the pics....

2nd Visit to the Peri
I wasnt too excited for this visit to the dr just because I was afraid he was going to tell me that her arms and legs had stopped growing. That was not the case. She is still measuring a little over 3 weeks behind, but she IS still growing. Her measurements are in the 25th percentile (lower than the average but still in the normal range). He wants me back every week for a sonogram, measurements, and belts (to measure her heartrate and activity). If at some point she drops into the 10th percentile he says we'll have to start talking about bedrest or delivering her early. He says there could be a number of reasons why she is measuring small including that the placenta isnt providing enough nourishment for her, in which case they would want me to deliver early so she could start getting all the nourishment she needs. As of today she weighed 3 pounds, 7 ounces... So she has gained a pound in the last three weeks. Other than that everything else looks good... My fluid levels are good and she is very active so I dont need to be worried.

31 Week Check Up
It was a short visit today. Well, besides waiting for an hour with this idiot lady in the waiting room who was letting her loud, obnoxious kids run around screaming. C'mon parents, get a grip... DISCIPLINE YOUR KIDS! Anyway, I gained a pound since my last visit! My dr asked if I have been eating... OF COURSE I HAVE! I'm happy my weight gain is finally slowing down! Kenna's heart beat was at 134... It gets slower and slower every visit. And I had a quick sono to find out if shes still breech and... SHES NOT! She finally turned!!! No c section for me!! Nothing else to report... I go back in 2 weeks for another check up. I'm going to see the perinatologist on Monday... Wish me luck! I hope little Kenna is still growing properly!

Oh my son, my wonderful son.
Gavin's bad boy quote of the day came today as we were walking out of Target; He was ripping my fingers off of his hand as we walked through the parking lot, and shouting "No, Mommy I no hold your hand, Mommy!!" With one hand clinching his and the other directing the cart out to my car, we were darting cars in the parking lot and I kept telling Gavin not to let go; All I wanted to do was get him to the car safetly. Finally, we reach our car and I get the groceries unloaded and Gavin buckled into his seat. I turn to the backseat and tell him... "When Mommy tells you to hold her hand to walk across the street, you hold her hand!" He responds with "No Mommy! When I tell you I want cupcakes... You have me cupcakes!!" As I tried my hardest not to burst into laughter, I looked at him and said "Gavin, you listen to Mommy when she tells you to hold her hand!" And again he responded with "No Mommy! When I tell you I want cupcakes... You have me cupcakes!" Of course, my son would say that. Man, I cant imagine what life will be like when he is 15 if he's already demanding cupcakes!
Speaking of my little man, here are some wonderful pictures Granny Mam took before Gav's surgery a few weeks ago...

I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow! :)
That means only 10 weeks to go!!!!!! Yay! So I went to the dr yesterday.... Gained 4 more pounds, its like there just piling on now! I've gained 23 so far so I guess thats still good. As long as I dont gain 30 more pounds in the next two months... I wont gain as much as I did with Gav. My belly is still measuring good and Kenna's heartbeat was 145 bpm. So I asked my dr about Kenna still being breech and she said Kenna's got 2-3 weeks to turn around by herself, otherwise we'll be scheduling a c section... yikes. I've never wanted a c section and I dont want one now either!!! I just hope she turns by herself but I really doubt she will because she seems so comfortable the way she is considering shes been in this position for the past like 12 weeks! Now that we're getting down to the wire, its time to start seeing the dr every 2 weeks! My next appointment with the peri is on April 20th to make sure Kenna's arms and legs are still growing. Other then that, everything seems good! Havent had any braxton hicks contractions lately! Tomorrow is the baby shower! I'm pretty excited about it, cant wait to see my family and friends! And Kenna's crib should be here sometime next week! Seems like everything is coming together! Not much longer til shes here =)

Oh, baby Kenna.
Well I'm 29w2d today. Went to the perinatologist this morning and he doesnt seem to be worried, so thats good. He completley ruled out cleft lip. He measured her and found out she is in the 25th percentile so that is normal but her humerus and femur bones are measuring 26w2d.... That scares me. That could be a small sign of Downs or Dwarfism. HOWEVER, he said the same thing my dr said... He thinks that this is not the case and that she is just a petite little girl because everything else looks good and healthy. There are no other signs of Downs or Dwafism. He said I could have an amnio done but he doesnt recommend it because there is more risk than benifit in my situation since I'm already 29 weeks along. I'm going back in 3 weeks for another sono with the perinatologist to make sure all her bones have grown 3 weeks and have not just grown 1 week or have stopped growing all together. So until I have something to worry about.... I'm going to try to stay calm and look at the bright side of things... She is healthy! She weighs 2 pounds, 7 ounces!

Gav did SO well!
Surgery is OVER! Yay! Everything went amazing and he was SO good! Surgery only took an hour and when he came out he didnt cry at all, not even once!! I could not believe how well he did. He woke up from surgery and said "owie, my mouth hurts." He got some tylenol and was fine... We left the hospital by 11am and as soon as we got home he ate a cheeseburger (thats my boy lol) and he was fine. He was playing outside and running around when we got home and never cried or whined once. He is such a little trooper! I think the toughest part for him is the fact that he cant have any chocolate for 6 weeks... Thats whats going to kill him lol He loves his chocolate! He did so good, I could not be any prouder of him! Thank you for all the prayers and best wishes!!

Poor Baby. Relaxing and watching cartoons after surgery.
Waiting to get his happy juice.
Getting rolled back for surgery.

Sonogram - 27 Weeks, 3 Days
Kenna is now measuring 2 weeks behind schedule. Dr isnt sure why... she says maybe Kenna could just be a small girl or she could have a growth spurt later in the pregnancy. She doesnt seem to be too worried about it so I'm not going to stress over it either. Kenna is also in the breech position (feet first and head in my ribs) so she better turn around in the next month because Mommy does NOT want a c-section! She had her hands up by her face again, like always! As the dr put it... "shes still a girl!" So thats good news lol so we wont have any surprises during labor. And she also has a "full upper lip" still no seperation so I'm pretty sure she will be cleft lip free. I could definatley see that Orent chin this time... Just like Gav, Kenna is going to have the "ice pick chin" lol.
Gav was excited to see his "wittle sister" today! He kept telling the tech "that my wittle sister Kenna!" Haha it was completley adorable! I dont think he could be any more excited about it, which is good, but we'll see how he does when she gets here.
Other than that we're just getting ready for his surgery on Thursday. After we went for his pre-op appointment on Friday, I felt a little better about everything. I know they will take good care of him and I know he is a strong little boy, and he'll be just fine. I just hate seeing him in pain and I know its going to take a while to heal. We go in at 6am on Thursday, he goes into surgery at 7:30 and should be out of surgery around 10:30 or 11. Then we'll just make sure he is eating and drinking okay and they'll send us home sometime that afternoon or evening. This surgery isnt as severe as the last one so that puts my mind at ease a little bit. I know I just need to stay strong for him. Please keep us in your prayers!

This is a face shot, but the tech said Kenna was laying on the placenta so its kind of hard to make out the pic. You can definatley see that pointy chin!

26 Weeks, 5 Days
So the glucose test wasnt as bad as I expected it to be. But that drink is awful... Worse than having my blood drawn!! (I hate needles) I have gained another 4 pounds so that puts me at 19 now! Gosh, I hope shes healthy and I'm not just getting fat! lol I have a sono next Tuesday to check her growth again and make sure shes back to normal and not measuring too small like last time. I love my new dr.... She says shes not letting me have another 8 pound baby (Gav was 8.7) because I'm too small for all that. So hopefully I'll get induced before my due date rolls around. Turns out I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions that I didnt even know about! I never had those with Gav so its wierd to find out I have been having them with Kenna... Maybe that just means she'll be here early!!

23 Weeks, 4 Days
Went to the dr a couple of days ago.... I GAINED 8 POUNDS IN A MONTH!! Can you believe that? I could hardly believe it! So that puts me at gaining 15 pounds thus far... Which is good considering I gained 50 with Gavin (He was a big boy!). Anyway, my belly is measuring perfectly... 23 centimeters. And her heartbeat that day was 144 bpm... slower than it has been but nothing to worry about. She kept kicking the nurse! The nurse goes "Wow, she moves a lot!" Yeah, tell me about it. I get kicked 24/7. But I wouldnt have it any other way! Little Miss Kenna is going to be fiesty... I can feel it.
Gavin is doing good! He cant wait for his little sister. Everytime he sees a baby now, he points it out and tells me. His surgery is March 19, it is an outpatient surgery so unlike last time, he will get to come home that day. Please just keep him in your prayers. I'm sure everything will go fine because we have a very good surgeon but I just hate these damn surgeries! Hopefully this will be the last one and he wont have to go through another one. Our little Gav is a trooper though and he will do perfect.
Granny Mam and I had a little photoshoot... Here are some of the pics... They turned out great! :)

Yay! We decided on a name!
Well I think the subject of this blog pretty much explains it! Kris picked the first name, I picked the middle and I think its beautiful! If you have anything negative to say about it... SAVE YOUR BREATH. We have had so much trouble finding the perfect name because of everyone elses opinions so this time I DONT CARE WHAT YOU THINK.
Our daughter's name is.......
Kenna Avery Orent
I think its beautiful and its the perfect name that we were looking for!

ITS A GIRL! ITS A GIRL!!
We went to the Dr last week for our 20 week sono.... Found out we're having a baby girl!! Gav's going to have a little sister, and Kris and I are going to have a daughter! I am so excited, I wanted a little girl so bad!! Dr checked for a cleft lip (since Gav was born with a cleft lip and palate, we have a higher chance for this baby to also) but said there are no signs of seperation in the lip, so thats good. However, our girl isnt as big as she should be... She was measuring 18 and a half weeks and she should have been measuring 20, so shes a little small for how far along I am. Dr says we're just going to keep an eye on her and make sure shes progressing like she should be. Gav was 8.7 pounds when he was born so I wasnt expecting a small baby.... It's got me kind of worried, but theres not much I can do. I will just keep praying for a happy, healthy baby!!
Now, we cant decide on a name.... I need some suggestions... Kris and I both love Breeca (Br-ee-sa) but there are a few people in the family that cant stand it! We both like Karsyn, but cant think of a really pretty middle name to go with it. I like Presleigh, but I'm not sold on it. Girls names are SO much harder than boys!!!
